Architect series II better than series I

The Bottom Line: Very nice unit, cooktop is great, I think the oven could be better.
Kitchen Aid replaced factory defective Architect Series I with new and improved series II.
The cooktop on this range is excellent, the 3 tier burner is a "can't live without" feature, I wish it had 2 and only one simmer (it has two simmers).
The iron grates are nice and heavy and easy to clean, but you need a big sink since the grates are pretty big.
Glass top is very easy to clean.
The stainless still control knobs look very nice. The oven control panel is easy to use, however, it is very sensitive and reacts just by getting too close to it.
The oven works and I should be happy about that, since the SeriesI this came to replace didn't have a working oven. However, it doesn't heat evenly and the convection feature doesn't reduce cooking time at all. Something else I have a problem with is that as soon as I turn off the oven, the control knobs, oven control panel and the stainless steel face start heating-up, and the stainless steel gets almost as hot as my flat iron.
I called for service on this problem and the tech said that it is normal, I called kitchenaid again to ask if this is the design and the answer was to send another tech and if he says it's normal then I have to pay US$70 for diagnostic.
KitchenAid customer service stinks!!
Going back to the range... the warming drawer is really cool and work well with 3 temperature settings, low med high.
Overall I like this Range better than the previous one and it works better.
