Forget Starbucks! Grind Your Own Coffee with the Braun KSM2 Coffee Grinder!

It seems like coffee has become a staple in the American diet. With a Starbucks on every corner, it is hard to avoid the calling of a freshly brewed cup of java. I love Starbucks, but I don't love the prices. So I save Starbucks for a treat and grind my own coffee beans in my Braun KSM2 Coffee Grinder.

Style Basics
The Braun KSM2 Coffee Grinder is a cylinder shaped grinder. It comes in black or white and has a clear lid. Inside there is a shallow metal area with a stainless steel blade to grind the beans. A small groove runs along the bottom of the grinder for storing the cord. Simply wrap the cord around the grinder inside the groove. Easy storage!

Use
This has got to be the easiest appliance to use. Just pour some beans into the metal area and snap the lid in place. A plastic button is on the top of the lid. Push and hold the button down to grind the beans. When you are finished, release the button and the blades stop. You can make the grounds as fine as you want. I know by sound when the grounds are to the consistency I like. Experiment with grinding for different amounts of time until you get the consistency you like.

A nice safety feature is that it is impossible to push the button and get the blades going unless the lid is securely locked on. No need to worry about fingers get caught in the blade.

My Experience
I use the Braun KSM2 Coffee Grinder all the time. It is so easy to use. It can grind enough beans at one time to make 12 cups of coffee. I never drink that much coffee at once so I will grind a couple batches and then place the grounds in the freezer to use later. It only takes a few seconds to grind the beans so making a bunch is fast and easy.

Grinding the beans is very noisy. The good thing is that it barely takes any time to grind so you don't have to put up with all that racket for very long. It is loud so make sure the noise won't bother other family members. My niece is scared of loud noises like the vacuum or blow dryer so we can't grind coffee when she is around.

Clean up is so easy. I never actually wash the grinder. It is an electrical appliance so you can't submerge it in water. Since it is just coffee grounds, I just shake or brush out the blade area. It is so simple!

My Recommendation
The Braun KSM2 Coffee Grinder is a fabulous grinder. It works quickly and is very effective at grinding coffee beans. I like being able to have fresh coffee and save money by making it at home. This grinder is perfect. I paid around $20 for the grinder which is very inexpensive. It is durable and will provide you with fresh coffee for a long time!
