We bought a house that had this cooktop. I haven't experienced any heating problems as the other reviews have noted. The only problem we have is one that existed when we arrived....obviously the previous owners didn't know that the knobs weren't heat resistant. They are all melted. I now have to replace them which is why I even found this site. The cooktop meets our needs.
