Palm T/X More Than Meets My Needs

I purchased the T/X around Christmas 2005 to replace an old Handspring Visor. I've been very pleased with this device. It's sturdy but still skinny enough for easy handling. I think the color display is excellent and I like being able to toggle between landscape and portrait orientation. It handles all the basic PDA functions in a straightforward manner. I use it as an MP3 player when I travel with songs stored on a 1GB SD card. I use standard ear buds and the sound is pretty good. I also use the WiFi when traveling to browse news and sports and this function is very simple to use. It also serves as my alarm clock when traveling. I also store pictures and the images look pretty good, especially in landscape orientation. I haven't had any problems synching to the PC although it takes longer to synch than I would expect. The battery life has been excellent. I've only wished for longer battery life when I've used the MP3 player extensively on the road. Without the MP3 use I probably go at least two weeks without any charging. I'm impressed. I know the T/X has greater capability including email and Bluetooth as I intentionally bought a very capable device so I wouldn't quickly outgrow it. My only complaint is that I was quite proficient with graffiti on my old Visor, but there have been changes to graffiti that result in great frustration when I try to use it on the T/X. Therefore I always use the keyboard screen to which I have adjusted without any problems. It's actually easier than graffiti for me.
