Pros: Kept my Fiance's Allergies down!
Cons: A bit pricey.
The Bottom Line: Good HEPA filter! =)
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My fiance has allergies like crazy! So I decided to purchase this filter for her over a year ago. It has helped a great deal with her allergy attacks, which means that she gets to spend more time with me instead of being knocked out with all of her...

Pros: Immediate Noticeable Air Improvement
Cons: Somewhat Large
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Our doctor recommended this model and we found it at a great price at Costco. He said it would not only clean our air, but it would also reduce our Northern California humidity indoors. He was right!
I used to wake up with a runny nose most... |

Pros: Seems to clean the air.
Cons: Strange chemical odor from pre-filter.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I believe the air cleaner is working, but it's hard to tell. It gives off a strange chemical odor and has for the several months I've been running it (continuously at first). I no longer use it because of this. I contacted Honeywell, and they...

Pros: None
Cons: Replacement filters don't fit. Can't buy the original filters anymore.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I have not had good luck with Honeywell products. They do enjoy good name recognition and many people think Honeywell products mean good quality. That used to be the case, but Honeywell is cheapening many of its products and this is no exception. I...

Pros: No real "Pros"
Cons: Poor smell, loud sound, bogus CADR numbers
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I believe Honeywell INVENTED the CADR index that is used to compare air purifiers (or some product company did)... which makes the CADR very suspect. This has great CADR numbers. However, the unit is loud on all settings, smells constantly (smell...

Review: About a year and half ago I developed breathing problems. I was short of breath and my nose was always stuffed up no matter what time of year it was and I had a very painful dry cough all of the time. I went to a doctor, actually several doctors,...

The Bottom Line: Poorly made, unreliable and loud and noisy.

Review: ok, I'm writing this just before I go return this, why? The noise, and the poor quality of Honeywell. We had another Honeywell air purifier, and it died after just 2 years. So I didn't want another... well... that's tough because all I could find...

Pros: Ease of use and filter change. Low price, reasonably quiet at low speed.
Cons: Filter changing (but all HEPA units need this)
The Bottom Line: Cost effective HEPA air cleaner. Filters easily found. Fairly quiet. No problems here.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Honeywell 17000 is our second Honeywell HEPA cleaner. The other worked fine over 4 or 5 years. My wife has intermittent allergies and a HEPA cleaner seems to help during bad times. We do not use the cleaner every day. We use it when my wife...

The Bottom Line: Definitely a great humidifier for small to medium room

Review: I have 2 of these units for twins' rooms. I bougth them at target for around 120 each. I did so much research on this site first and decided I wanted a good name, a life-long hepa filter, and something not too noisy. This was after I had bought a...
