A Honey of an Air Cleaner!

I am updating this review (originally written Oct. 2000) because this little air cleaner has been running for over a year now without any problems! It's still quiet and effective.

My doctor told me to buy it! After numerous sinus infections and subsequent doctor visits, I decided to take control of my health. I have suffered from allergies for years. Itchy eyes, stuffy nose, and sore throats were the norm for me. Having two cats only aggravates the situation. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I thoroughly clean only to find my furniture covered in dust the next day. Frustrating!

My doctor suggested I purchase a Hepa air cleaner to remove the particles ordinary cleaning doesn't. I purchased my Honeywell Quiet Care at Costco and it truly is quiet compared to most. It changes the air in my 10'x14' bedroom 7 times each hour. I find the low humming sound actually relaxing. This air cleaner removes pollen, dust, smoke, cat dander, and mold spores (which are a serious problem in the Pacific Northwest). I really appreciate the "Intelli-Check" feature which lets me know if a filter needs to be changed. My purchase included 3 additional pre-filters. Although a detailed information packet was included, all I needed to do was plug the air cleaner in and it started working!

I highly recommend this Honeywell Quiet Care Hepa air cleaner. You spend one third of your life in bed. Shouldn't your bedroom have one?
