Cheap Little Clock But it Gets Him Up

My husband can't hear the alarm. His hearing loss in in the higher ranges so I was looking for something with a low tone. This was a little fancier than I needed but is actually quite easy to operate, another good feature as he seems to have problems shutting them off in the morning. You see, I'm retired and I don't want to get up that early.

Clock Radio with Digital Display

6 Nature Sounds with a timer so you can go to sleep with them playing.

Nice big snooze button

A projector so you can show the time on the ceiling in big letters - while you are snoozing, I presume.

2 year warranty

The alarm clock is fine. The display is large enough and bright enough to see across the room. The snooze button is located right in front and is hard to miss. On the other hand, the radio part of the clock radio is not as well designed. The am/fm button is on the back and is very small. The tuning dial is on the bottom and side of the clock with the volume on the other side. It is far too easy to turn one when you are half asleep in the morning.

The nature sounds are okay. A couple are even fairly authentic. The machine doesn't have a particularly good speaker, so they sound fuzzy and scratchy. If that's your major reason for buying it - don't.

The projection on the ceiling is, well, cute. Not particularly useful, but cute. It does turn itself on when you hit the snooze. Otherwise we don't have a lot of use for it.

The plastic housing is cheap. It is a metallic silver plastic with darker gray accents. The unit is small and flat like a turtle which is probably why it hasn't gotten knocked down yet. Still we may need that warranty one day.

Overall, its a decent alarm clock but not good for more.
