Nice little heater for the price
Pros:
Many settings, safety features, 6yr warranty.
Cons:
Safety feature causes it to shut off if moved. Other than that it's great.
The Bottom Line:
I would definately recommend this heater to anyone looking for small heater that provides an above average amount of heat for the size.

I recently purchased the Holmes HQH319 Quartz heater from Target. Let me start out with saying that right now due to remodeling of my house, I am operating my home office from my 2 car garage in the middle of winter. While not an ideal situation, it was the only choice so after putting up with 40◦ temps for a few weeks I finally bit the bullet and went to Target to purchase a small heater that I could use in my garage/office to keep from becoming hypothermic. After looking at the different options I chose this one for the price ($49.99) and that it came with features that I liked: many settings, safety features, and it wasn't too large. I didnt presuppose that this small heater (dimensions: 13.9 x 10 x 24.6 in.) would make the office super toasty but I figured it would keep the chill off. I was quite pleasingly surprised once I turned it on that on the High mode I had to move it farther from me after a few minutes because I started feeling too hot. I experimented with the heater for a while and found that it has a great variety of settings: you can set it at high or low interminably or by pressing the mode button a few more times you can set the heater so that it will either be on high or low while being set to meet a certain temperature (60◦,65◦,70◦,75◦ and 80◦). Being that I am in a garage at 40◦ I wont see much of a difference using that setting but I definitely think that it would come in handy once I get to use it inside. I also noticed that both of the two elements heat up in all of the modes instead of others where only one element heats up in the low mode. It also has a fan which draws in the surrounding air and blows it out lightly through vents behind the heating elements, to the front of the heater. I would much rather this that a heater that blows the air in other directions. It looks compariably nice to other heaters and doesnt take up too much room. It has a nice tip rail in front and will shut off if it is tipped over. This is actually he only thing that bugs me about the heater: if I move it from area to area, once I set it down, (unless I do ti ever so gently) the heater will shut off as a safety mechanism. I guess this is good but it can be a bit agitating if you are moving it around frequently. Its pretty light weight at 9.13 lbs. One of the things that sold me on it was that it come with a 6 year warranty from Holmes. All in all I would purchase this heater again if I needed another small heater.
