An absolute workhorse

HP manufacture the best laser printers on the market, they may not be the cheapest or the fanciest but they are the best, bar none.

I work for a company dealing with hundreds of small offices, we have sold, installed and serviced hundreds of the HP 6P and I can't say enough good things about it. We have even changed some clients from other brands of lasers once they see the 6P in action.

Because the drum and toner are one simple to install and completely sealed unit you save yourself from having to fool around spilling toner and generally making a mess of things as can be a problem with some other manufacturors.

One problem HP has had with some products in the past has been good hardware but poor software, I am glad to say that this has not been evident at all with the 6P, the install is foolproof and the printers operation is seamless.

About the only concern was that with the original printer drivers there was some tinkering needed to get certain DOS programs to print properly under Windows 9x, this problem seemed to fade away with later models of the 6P.

This printer has since been replaced with the 2100, as far as I can tell there is very little, if any, difference between them.
