Handspring Visor Pro - Update to French Vanilla

Date of Review:  Oct 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Definitely a consideration for heavy Palm memory users... like physicians, power AvantGo and vindigo users, and others. It's more like French Vanilla than regular Vanilla.
Review: As I write this, a good analogy popped up while reading mkaresh's 2002 Camry epinion. I couldn't help but think of Handspring's latest entry into the market as plain vanilla in the Palm OS hardware world. This isn't to say that the Visor Pro isn't...

The professional Palm OS PDA.

Date of Review:  Dec 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you re considering to replace your traditional ways of organizing data, especially contacts and still have plenty of room left over, the Visor Pro will do the trick.
Review: For those who have addresses, appointments, contacts, to do lists, memos and many more to organize your priorities, it?s ideal for them to invest on a PDA. For professionals who are always on the run, have appointments and the organization of the...

Handspring Visor: too little, too late.

Date of Review:  Jun 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you need a Springboard slot, go for this Visor Pro, otherwise, the other PalmOS offerings by Sony offer a better price/performance curve!
Review: The Handspring Visor line has been one of the most successful PDAs ever. Period. Building on the Success of Palm OS, Handspring was an innovator when the Visor was launched about 2 years ago. Since then, they have slipped, in providing new products...

This one will last you a while.

Date of Review:  Apr 25, 2002
The Bottom Line: Unless you need an extremely compact handheld, the fast, expandable Visor Pro will meet your needs for quite awhile.
Review: My first Visor was a Platinum and I loved it. The fast Dragonball processor and 8 meg of RAM were well suited to my needs as a student. It kept all my data at my fingertips and was fun to use. I had the flexibility to use it with Outlook and...

Absolutely Awesome PDA!

Date of Review:  Mar 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you want to carry every piece of info you could ever need in a small space, this is indeed the handheld for you!
Review: I recently purchased a Visor Pro as an upgrade from my Visor 2MB that I purchased a year ago. Let me just say that it was one of the best electronics purchases I have ever made!

I keep a great deal of addresses and memos, as well as an...

Visor Pro now with 16Mb

Date of Review:  Oct 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you need the extra 8Mb, go for this cool device. If you don't need it, there are cheaper or better looking alternatives.
Review: This brand new device is not brand new on all it's features. The casing is a bit outdated and the system software is not the latest version either.
Is this bad? I'd say no. The 3.5 version of the software is very stable and it's working perfect...

Visor Pro

Date of Review:  Dec 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: I heartily recommend this handheld. All the convenience of other palm pdas: huge software base, and this model specifically allows you to take advantage of more of that software.
Review: The Visor Pro makes the jump to 16 MB. Due to the limitations of Add on Memory this is quite significant. If you plan on using your pda as a repository of databases or lots of raw data the bump to 16 MB will give you a little breathing room. The...

Best Handspring

Date of Review:  Oct 19, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you need springboard expansion and/or extra memory, get this Handspring.
Review: SUMMARY: Among Handspring devices, the Pro is a clear, though pricey, winner if you need to use the Springport expansion slot.

I traded in my Sony Clie to get a Handspring because I knew I wanted to use the 802.11b card that just came out...

Visor Pro, Power on a Low Budget

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2002
The Bottom Line: Jammed to the brim, powerful, expansion, all on a budget. For the power user, this it it.
Review: Take a springboard slot, a zippy processor, a great monochrome screen and double the memory and you get the appropriately named Handspring Visor Pro. The first thing that'll you'll notice is the 16 mb of RAM. People who use programs like Avantgo or...

Pro is to Platinum as Neo is to Deluxe

Date of Review:  Apr 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: A good solid PDA with enough RAM to suit most users' needs
Review: Continuing my quest for a new PDA, I decided to take a look at the latest and greatest in Handspring's Visor line: the Visor Pro. Now that the Visor Neo has replaced both the Deluxe and Platinum models, Handspring needed to up the ante for a new,...
