Pros: Quiet, cheapest in class, less soap, "set and forget" operation, no shakes, one machine washes/dries
Cons: takes longer to wash/dry than separate washer/dryers, durability is sorely lacking
The Bottom Line: Cheap & does the job superbly for 6 months... Then you'll have to get Haier to send you a new one. Please only use HE detergent

Pros: Saves space, energy efficient, quiet.
Cons: see review.
The Bottom Line: Overall, I enjoy using this machine a lot. If you have confined spaces, no vent and only have 110 voltage outlet then this is the way to go.

Review: I just bought this washer/dryer combo in December 0f 2002. I have been using it for about a month. So far it is great. I no longer have to carry my load of laundry to the laundromat and wait for 2 hours. What's also great is the fact that you don't...

Pros: washer works ok; it's small; it sounds like a good idea
Cons: dryer steams and wrinkles clothes; shrinkage, flooding; customer service
The Bottom Line: Buy a washer. Buy a dryer. Don't consider buying a combination unit and certainly don't buy this one!

Review: I was excited when the landlord proclaimed that my wife and I were going to get a washer and dryer. I was impressed when she said that it was actually going to be only one unit. That's as excited as I ever was about this product.

Pros: Nice compact size, cleans great when it runs, easy to use
Cons: No support from manufacturer, poor overall quality and reliability
The Bottom Line: Don't be tempted by the low price. This machine will break down and then remain in a state of repair ever after.

Review: I joined Epinions for the sole purpose of sharing my experience with this machine. I purchased the XQG50-11 in January of 2004 and owned it up until the beginning of October of 2005.
For years, I had relied on laundromats and finally a... |

Pros: It is small. It can be installed under a counter.
Cons: Short dryer life span. Micro load size. The unit HOPS across the room.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this.

Review: I'm renting an apartment that has a combo unit.
I hate it. I can't wash an entire set of sheets at one time and I certainly can't DRY a full set of sheets at one time. The manual actually tells you to break a load into 3rds for drying..... |

Pros: No switching from washer to dryer, easy to operate
Cons: Customer service through Haier is awful, they are no help when you need them
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend getting this product, to many parts for the dryer fail.

Review: I want to start out by saying that I purchased this machine for my hair and tanning salon since I don't have a lot of space for 2 big units and don't have a vent out of the building. It was the perfect solution. It has a 11 lb wash/dry capacity...

Pros: The machine is efficient and easy to use making laundry day less onerous
Cons: It breaks down with greater frequency than regular machines and is difficult to repair
The Bottom Line: The machine is difficult to repair and has a greater frequency of breakdowns compared to the separate washers and dryers, I would not recommend it for purchase.

Review: I recently bought the Haier XQG50-11 for my new apartment because I loved the convenience of the all-in-one LG that was in my last apartment. Big mistake.
After TWO loads of laundry, it does not dry the clothes, just makes them very hot... |

Pros: Never have to go to a laundromat again
Cons: the wheels are somewhat difficult to set and breakdowns are common
The Bottom Line: For 2 or 3 people in an apartment, it's the best investment you can make with an extended warranty.

Review: UPDATE - 7/2006
