Pros: Excellent sensitivity, feature rich, automotive and hiking navigation, solid construction
Cons: Limited basemap, smallish screen, low alert tone volume
The Bottom Line: The Garmin 60CSx is an excellent state of the art handheld GPS receiver that satisfies the needs of the driver, hiker, geocacher and jumpmaster.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My needs were for a handheld GPS receiver that could be used for both hiking and automobile navigation. I had been using a Garmin eMap in this way for five years but found having to enter in each navigation route waypoint-by-waypoint to be quite a...

Pros: Construction, Feel, Color Screen, Accuracy, Portable, Functionality
Cons: Fixed internal memory, no expansion slot & Manual needs more details
The Bottom Line: If ATVing, hiking, camping, daily or interstate driving is your thing, then the 60CS will get you there and back every time. This GPS can be easily used by anyone.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Well, it will be hard to add to the reviews posted by sezrfas and dynamicfigure. They covered this unit pretty well. If you skipped these reviews please go back and read them once you have read mine.

Pros: Speed, power and functionality.
Cons: Cost, manual.
The Bottom Line: A great little GPS unit that serves well in the car or on foot. A good value over the competition.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a great little GPS (Global Positioning System) unit and we still continue to be impressed with how much it does. We have owned the unit for about 4 months and still cannot be happier with the purchase. Our main motivation for getting a GPS...

Pros: Amazing screen, nice customization features, very versatile, nice geocaching features
Cons: No Macintosh support, pricey add-on map software (as with all Garmin)
The Bottom Line: Without Mac support, it's a pain to enter all coordinates in manually. Still, it's an exceptional product and as a first-time GPS user, I couldn't be happier.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After owning a Garmin eTrex Legend for all of 24 hours, I realized that I wasn't going to be happy with a small black and white screen, no turn-by-turn driving navigation, and the inferior nature of built-in antennas. While considerably more...

Pros: Excellent reception, full-featured, well-designed, and easy to use.
Cons: Costly and limited "MapSource" data and restrictive software licensing.
The Bottom Line: The Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx is fast, accurate, full-featured, and has excellent signal reception. But you won't find enlightenment atop Fujisan using Garmin's MapSource software.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: What is it?
The Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx is a full-featured, consumer model, hand-held, Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. Operating anywhere in the world, it is capable of using signals from up to twelve of a constellation of... |

Pros: Fantastic display, sensitivity and accuracy. Truly useable in a car and hiking.
Cons: To be honest, not much. Buy one - it's great!
The Bottom Line: It looks really good and works extremely well. Be careful when you are driving: the screen is so pretty, you just can't help staring!!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have been road testing a 60c and compared it to other non-colour models such as the Etrex, Etrex Vista, and the Garmin map76S. The result was, I had to buy one for myself.
It looks a bit like a big mobile phone so I don't feel too daft... |

Pros: Durable and weather resistant, great/bright display, accurate topo maps, easy to use and understand.
Cons: Not compatable with Mac's (bummer), some the topo maps roads are also quite dated
The Bottom Line: Great product that has proven much more valuable than I originally thought
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After having this unit for about a year and using it for everything including hiking, hunting, skiing, and driving I cannot say enough good things about it. Though I have never submerged it for prolonged periods of time, I have slipped and fell into...

Pros: Large 256 COLOR TFT Screen, geocaching feature, autorouting,56MB Memory, usb support
Cons: Breakable belt clip, preloaded maps are not accurate as some other models.
The Bottom Line: If you want a good solid unit without spending the big bucks, this is the GPS for you. Middle of the road price, big unit features.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: About 2 months ago I sold my eTrex Legend and bought the GPSMap 60C. I am happy I took the step ahead.
The unit fits nicely into the hand. Since the thumbstick has been removed, the GPS is now operated just as easily with the left hand as... |

Pros: New antenna/receiver is highly accurate, fast, and has great coverage.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: This unit is the first of the next generation of handheld outdoor GPS units. The accuracy, satellite reception, and features make this unit a must-have.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My workplace purchased this unit at my request about three months ago. It is a step above every other similar unit that I've ever used (I am a scientist and work with GPS, GIS, and remote sensing technologies on a daily basis). We bought this unit...

Pros: Excellent sat lock, high-res screen, endless options.
Cons: Extras must be calibrated often, mapping support is almost fraud.
The Bottom Line: A solidly designed product hampered by horrible map support, which makes resale value plummet. Excellent hardware, below average software. Only specific users will want this product.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: OK, I agree with most of the reviews that the 60csx is about as good as you can get. The 20 channel receiver and the new SIRF-III processor outperforms any GPSr I have seen to date. I routinely have 10 satellites locked even under cover. The basemap...
