best video game magazine

Date of Review: Mar 25, 2003

The Bottom Line:  like games? like being informed? get gameinformer.
I've been reading gameinformer for a long time and I think it's the best magazine. Other magazine's writing is cheap and uninspired, just the way i would right it, but gameinformer gives you insight to what a game is really about with out putting it down, unless it's crap. They used to have three guys review a game then averae it, now two guys give seperate reviews. Instead of giving a score for graphics and sound they write a good review about what it's like. I agree with most of the reviews and the ones i don't their review is never far from the nose. They show previews of games, reviews of games, stragedy guides, and a 'classic gi' section that shows old games. You can email the reviewers via email or write a letter to the magazine by email or letter. Every year they have their annual video game awards where they list the top ten games of the year and some others (best performance by a video game character, worst game, best graphics in a game..) There's so much stuff to absorb. I even read old issues to spot something that i hadn't noticed before.

The writing is indepth and the layout is simple.
Cons
Only two guys review a game? Hopefully they know what they're talking about.
