After making do with my old Maytag that came with the house, I did a lot of research before I decided on this one particular range because it met all the criteria in my wish list. The touch pad controls are very user-friendly, preheating the oven takes just a few seconds and there's no guesswork for the exact temp since the read out is clearly on the front panel. This range comes with an optional griddle or long center grate for longer/bigger pots. There are several burners to choose from that conforms to pot size/boiling/simmering needs. I often use the "power boil" setting when cooking pasta in big pots. I also have an option to use the lower oven for smaller food to bake/roast or keep the food warm until the family's ready for meals. It sure comes in handy during party time so the food stays warm in their oven safe servers. The main oven chamber is big, comes with 2 dividers with instruction on proper placement depending on baking requirements. The convection bake/roast settings I've used several times with my special chicken roast coming out perfect everytime: crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside as the flavor of lemon grass/spices got locked-in during the roasting process. The available thermosensor probe I pierce into the meat eliminates frequent opening of the oven to check for doneness. It sure makes for confident roasting results. Of course, my kids are also happy with this oven because they don't have to wait long for the cake they help me whip up! (My old one must have lost a lot of heat that baking used to take forever!) Being able to cut down on actual gas/electric usage and cooktime is one of the reasons why I love this range.

Cleaning can be done with non-abrasive sponges or for heavy-duty mess, I can opt for the self-clean cycle, but, be aware that the high temperature needed to turn food spills/splatters into ashes can affect your pets! Keep your kitchen well-vented, open the windows or use fans if you are forced to go to this length. As for me, diligent clean-up works well enough that I didn't have to take this route.
Overall this stainless steel GE Profile was a good buy and Lowe's gave me free shipping/installation, so I couldn't be any happier.
