Horrible Product

I purchased this refrigerator in 2003. One month after the warranty expired we lost hundreds of dollars in food due to a faulty door hinge. The service man explained to us that it was a faulty design. We had to "rig" it ourselves to fix this problem. Also, from the beginning the ice dispenser has not worked properly. The ice is consistently melted together into one large block which makes it impossible to dispense without first breaking up the ice manually. We were told this was "normal" functioning. After only 4 years we had to have the defrost heater replaced at a cost of $240.00. This did nothing to help with the ice maker situation however. And now the water dispenser doesn't work and we are faced with yet another costly repair. This refrigerator is 4 1/2 years old and I have spent more than half of the purchase price again in repairs. I wish I had my 20 year old fridge back. The one that was actually built well, that I had no problems with ever!
