2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD

Date of Review:  Nov 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Super handling good riding. If you don't mind the bad MPG. Tow a smaller TT-Hybrid, have several kids, this vehicle is for you, If they get the bugs out ?
Review: I owned a 96 Ford Explorer, then bought a 02 Explorer (Awesome Vehicle), but needed larger vehicle to pull new Hybrid camper.

Took Two 2003 Expeditions -To get a Good One!

Date of Review:  Feb 17, 2003
The Bottom Line: Buy it, enjoy it, know when it was built and most of all make sure you have a good dealer behind you.
Review: The new 2003 Expedition is great; that is once I got to the second one I bought!

I was involved in an accident on Christmas Eve that "totaled" my 1998 Chevy Blazer. So I was concerned about my survival in another collision. Big was better,...

2003 Ford Expedition: Defending the Indefensible

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: Makes sense for those who have to comfortably carry a large number of adults over difficult roads. Huge improvements for 2003.
Review: I'm personally not a big fan of large SUVs. They use massive amounts of gasoline—mileage is generally in the low teens—and owing to their nearly three-ton weight and high bumpers constitute a danger to anyone in a smaller vehicle, especially if that...

So, so SUV

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you like the big SUV ride and feel then this is your baby.
Review: Really large vehicle. One has to be very aware of the blind spots. It drives and handles like a large car. It could use a little more power, one has to really give it the gas to get it going. One has to keep the wheels and the raised white letter...

Love this Vehicle!

Date of Review:  Aug 29, 2007
Review: Solid and sound; feel safe in it. Very roomy! Very comfortable. Smooth ride! Even though bigger, has much less blind spots than my Eddie Bauer Explorer. Can back this bigger vehicle easier because of that. Can't say enough about how great this...

Better, but with reservations

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2003
The Bottom Line: Drive the one you want to purchase, make certain you're happy with it, and point out any unusual squeaks or rattles before you sign on the dotted line.
Review: As a previous owner of a 2000 Expedition XLT I anxiously awaited the '03's. After test driving an Eddie Bauer and picking color, options, etc., I purchased an '03 Eddie Bauer in October, 2002.
As much as I enjoyed the ownership and driving...

Ford Built Tough

Date of Review:  Jan 23, 2008
Review: I recently spun on the highway in my 2003 Ford Expedition XLT. After bouncing around between dividers on the highway i was truly impressed that the only damage to the vehicle was the front and rear bumpers. I spun at approximately 65mph, in any...

So Far So good

Date of Review:  Sep 27, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you want a good quality, roomy, well equipped and well priced SUV, I think it would be hard to beat the 2003 Expedition.
Review: Let me first preface my thoughts by assuring you that I do not work for any car manufacturer.

After considering the Acura MDX, Chevy Tahoe and Toyota Sequoia, I went with the 2003 Eddie Bauer 4x2 5.4L Expedition.

I must admit...

Basic Directional Control Flaw

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2003
The Bottom Line: Five Thousand Pounds Of Stress Reduction.
Review: The new 2003 Expedition has a stylish and modern look that turns heads. It has a tight turning radius and is very maneuverable in parking lots. U-turns at traffic lights are a breeze. Large 17" wheels give Expedition's driver very good height over...
