If I told you everything about this game, I could go on for hours. Instead, I'll spare you and just touch on points other previews and reviews may not have conveyed.

First, in case you missed it, there's a monthly fee to play Final Fantasy XI. That's on top of the Xbox Live fee you may already be paying to Microsoft.

Second, this game can be equally enjoyed by either sexes, young or old. My personal linkshell, (guild), in the game has ages that range from 9 to 50+ years old. Men and women are split about 70/30. In fact, my wife has played with me almost since I began playing.

Third, this game can be highly addictive. Since my wife and I started playing around fall of 2004, this has been the only game we have consistently played. I have logged in 75+ days alone, (yes, that's 75 twenty-four hour periods). Adults should have enough discipline to prioritize their time and all minors should be monitored while on Final Fantasy XI.

Finally, let me say this is the best game I have ever had the opportunity of playing. I've been playing video games for over twenty years, so that's saying something. Massively multiplayer online role-playing games are not for everyone, but if you have the patience, it can be a very rewarding experience.
