Author's Review

I installed my Fedders about 2 months ago It worked a couple of weeks but the arc detection plug would kick out anywhere from every 20 minutes to every few hours. Then I noticed the touch controls had to be pushed repeatedly to work and them the compressor started kicking off after a few minutes and wouldnt come back on until you changed the cooling mode. Then the next time I turned it on it displayed an error code E3 and has never ran again.I contacted Fedders and they were very nice and co-operative and said they would get someone right out to fix it for us. They called back the next day and said they didnt have a repair man contracted in this area that I would have to get my own. A few days later I E-mailed them asking how to go about getting parts and reimbersment but never heard from them again. If your going to buy an air conditioner take my advise and look for one with good old fashioned Knobs. What good is all those fancy touch controls and remotes if the unit wont work for two months..
