great for removing (tweezing) unwanted facial hair

I got the Epilady Legend to take care of some stray hairs on my chin that I have been tweezing. Over the years I have been getting more of them and tweezing was becoming time consuming so I decided I needed to find an easier way.

I figured it was either professional removal or waxing. I tried waxing and didn't like it because it rips off a layer of my skin leaving it sensitive for a week or so. Not to mention the mess of the wax.

When I saw the Epilady product I thought it was worth a try for the price. I paid $55 for this item. It came with a case, charging cord and a brush to clean out the hairs.

How Epilady works
After charging for a night it holds a charge for at least several weeks. I use it a couple times a week and have gone months between charging it. I have never had it completely run out of charge and usually charge it up before going on a trip or something.

It has two different speeds. I think it works equally well on either speed but tend to flip it to high when I use it. The speed affects how quickly the hair is pulled out, so I think it is generally a personal preference whether you want the hair just ripped out, or slowly pulled out.
I owned one of the older model epilady hair removers about 20 yrs ago and it never worked very well. I ended up throwing it away.

The epilady is a series of tweezers that rotate and grab the hair, ultimately pulling it out. For the stray chin hairs it works quite well. I would say that this product was well worth it, when used for the reason that I purchased it for. I personally can not imagine using it on the legs. I did not find it painful for the chin hairs and it takes care of them in a short period of time.

When using on the chin
Epilady is just like tweezing but better. It takes less than a minute to get all the chin hairs. You might have to go back and forth over an area a few times but since the area you are covering is small it does not take a lot of time. I have also noticed that if you hold the epilady in a different position it will work better for you. I think it has to do with the hair growth and this might be different for each person but for me with the on off switch up works best on the chin.

Pain level and how long it works is identical to tweezing except it takes way less time and you can be way more thorough. In my case tweezing was never a great solution and shaving was ineffective. There were a lot of hairs I could not see to tweeze and so I was constantly feeling them and being annoyed by them.

With the epilady, I use it approx twice a week and I think that has to do with the fact that different hairs grow at different rates. I guess if I let it all grow out for awhile I could get them all and then maybe use it less often but it is so easy to use I do not mind using it a couple times a week. I keep it right near my bed and either use it in the morning or at night if I have noticed something popping up. This works 100% better than tweezing and a million times better than shaving.

On Chin: After having the epilady and using it for months on my chin ... and loving it I might add, I wanted to update you on how I feel about the product. As far as the chin hair problem this product has made my life easier. Compared to trying to see and tweeze each individual hair this is 100 times better.

On Legs: I decided since I liked it so much for my chin I would try it on my legs. I give it a thumbs down for this application! It took a LONG time like 20 minutes and then I pretty much gave up because it did not get all the hairs. It was uncomfortable but if it has worked it would not have been so uncomfortable to stop me from doing it. The really bad part of this came about a week later when my legs started to itch like crazy. When I looked I noticed that I had hundreds of ingrown hairs. I had to scrub my legs to uncover them which left me with sores in some areas. I would never use this on my legs again, nor would I recommend it for anyone else.
