I bought my first set of these batteries about 5 years ago when I purchased a CD\MP3 player. It came with a charger that took 15 hours to charge the batteries. I still have those batteries today, as they are in many different items that I have around my house.
Like many people, I used AA batteries for many different electronic devices from Portable CD players to wireless devices. This got expensive and rather annoying to have to buy batteries in a large lot. Purchasing cheaper batteries was even more frustrating.
I first came across these batteries when I had a portable CD player\MP3 player. I bought 4 batteries and a 15 hour charger for around $25 at Target. I'll say that it's annoying to have to wait 15 hours to charge batteries. Since my CD player only took 2 batteries, I could switch them out each day before I left, so I'd have fresh batteries every day.
I did this for a couple of years until I found a 15 minute charger at Best Buy for about 20 bucks with 4 more batteries when I bought my digital camera. I'm happy I did that, as I don't have to wait as long for the batteries to charge. The only issue with the 15 minute charger is that the batteries get HOT when they are done. You are best served if you let them cool down a bit.
I now use these batteries for my Wii remotes, digital cameras (mine and my daughters) and a couple of wireless devices for my work. One device that I've had issues with these rechargeables are TV remotes. They tend to use them up much more quickly than alkalines, so I don't use them in TV remotes. As for my camera, it uses 4 batteries, and I've taken hundreds of pictures before having to swap out batteries, and in my old CD players, a single charge of 2 batteries lasted me about 10 hours.
Keep in mind that these batteries do discharge up to 5% a day when not in use. If you don't plan on using them for a bit, don't charge then until you need them.
I highly recommend these batteries to anyone who has hi-tech devices. Invest in the 15 minute charger, and you'll never run out of power. You make your money back in just 3 re-charges of these batteries, and they can be re-used hundreds of times
