Great rechargeable, long lasting battery

I have about 25 of these batteries, and they are all holding up very well. Some are 6 months old, some are 2 years old. They have always been used in automatic chargers, and even Energizer's 15-minute fast charger when I'm in the car going between a wedding and reception.

I recently purchased a La Crosse BC-900 charger, which shows the Mah rating of the battery and can also refresh them. Every one of these batteries ended up over 2400Mah after being refreshed. Several approached 2600. Remember, many of these were cooked in the 15-minute charger at least a dozen times, but these batteries held up very well.

Some have said that the batteries made in Japan are inferior to the ones made in China, claiming that they don't even reach 2000Mah. All of the ones I have were made in Japan, and they work great. I've already detailed as to what these charged to. I believe the ones made in China are labeled as 2450Mah and the ones from Japan are 2500. Not 100% sure about that, but if that is important to you, just look at the back of the package to see where they were made.

These do need to be topped off if they sit for more than a couple of weeks. If you need your batteries to hold a charge for a longer time, check out the low-discharge NiMH batteries such as the Sanyo Eneloop. Those things are great, but they generally have less Mah capacity.
