Bad choice

Bought a Electrolux Harmony in 2006 (refurbished, $249,-)after reading complementary reviews. No initial complaints. Powerhead brush broke 1 year later. Contacted authorized dealer for new brush and was told that Electrolux - bought by Eureka now - will only sell tha whole unit. Cost: $ 125.-. Contacted Electrolux to complain about the hight cost and was told the have no control over price increases and that warranty for this serial no. vaccum cleaner had expired. I was not willing to spend this amount, discarded the vacuum cleaner and decided to head the advice; " I am too poor to buy cheap", considering that I have to spend at least another $ 250,- for a new cleaner. Just imagine what a good cleaner I could have bought for an initial $ $ 500,- back in 2006!
Bottom line: since Eureka purchased Electrolux the quality is not what it used to be, and no, I would not recommend the Electrolux Harmony refurbished or new.
