Pros: Reliable, relatively quiet, Animal tool, It's a Dyson.
Cons: Price not for everyone, Color scheme better left for a 1965 Barracuda.
The Bottom Line: A great vacuum at a great price.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: In the past I have had way too many vacuum cleaners- a vacuum hoarder if you will. It's not that I collect vacuum cleaners per say, but I have always felt that if one breaks I should have at least another five or six to fall back on. Realizing that...

Pros: Powerful Suction, Bagless, Helps People With Allergies, Onboard Attachments and Suction Hose.
Cons: Heavy, Pricey but worth it.
The Bottom Line: This vacuum is great for the people that are owned by their pets. The amazing power for picking up dust and fur makes this a must have.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After many years of denying that any vacuum could pick up all of the hair and dirt in our carpets, we finally decided to spend the money on a Dyson. Our carpets are used very hard and the combination of cat hair, dirt and dust from our pellet and...

Pros: really works better than any vacuum out there, many accessories, futuristic design, quiet
Cons: no retractable cord, too many trips outside to empty the canister, no bag for accessories
The Bottom Line: This unit sucks... really well. The 5 year warranty and the amazing performance makes the price worth it.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Imagine using a product that didn't get the job done and getting so frustrated that you were determined to design a new technology and design for a very effective cyclone vacuum. Imagine taking your idea to the major vacuum manufacturers and them...

Pros: Good suction, good tools, good design excellent brush. All around works well.
Cons: Trouble traversing the "lip" between uneven floor surfaces. Can't lie down and get under furniture.
The Bottom Line: Delivers on its promise to deliver YOU from pet hair. Brush roller and suction work GREAT on carpets, with only a few maneuverability gripes.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: So far I'm happy with my Dyson DC-17 Animal even though $500 does feel like a lot to pay. It's got powerful suction, a good design, versatile tools, and a robust brush that really gets the grit and hair out of my carpets.
Let's get the bad... |

Review: Amazing! If I had to sum it up in a single word, that would be my choice word.
I had looked at a Kirby, but after weighing the cost with the pushiness and rudeness of the salesperson, I decided not to make that $1800 purchase. ... |

Pros: Design, suction, hidden telescoping hose, bottom-emptying collection bin, lifetime HEPA filter, NO BAGS!
Cons: Too pricey for some folks. Hose is not as flexible as I would like.
The Bottom Line: When something is done right, it makes it a joy to use. This vacuum lives up to its reputation as the best of the best. Worth every penny.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Let me start off by stating that I know a thing or two about vacuuming.
For two years when I was in high school, I worked as a maintenance guy for a health/racquetball club, and my main duty, obviously, was to keep the place clean. This... |

Pros: Carpet looks professionally cleaned, crisp lines, fluffed pile. Lighter than my last vac.
Cons: Some don't leave prominent striping, and have less suction. Mini Turbine tool is sub-par.
The Bottom Line: If you are willing to take back an undeclared older model that performs poorly compared to the recently manufactured identical models, this vac is easily worth your money.
This reviewer recommends this product.

Pros: Excellent filtration, no bags/belts/filters to buy, 5 year warranty, and well designed.

Pros: Powerful and consistent suction, Advanced features, Condensed design.
Cons: Expensive, No light, Somewhat firm hose.
The Bottom Line: This vacuum will give you top quality cleaning performance especially for pet and stair clean up. The extra features and attention to detail make this unit a clear winner.

Review: First let me say I am thrilled with this vacuum. I replaced a Bissel (not the Healthy Home which I compare the Dyson to in this review) and the difference in performance is amazing. Both are "12 amp" vacuums, but the Dyson is far superior. The...
