This book became our family's favorite read a loud book as soon as our daughter brought it home with one of those monthly book orders classrooms do. We find it very difficult finishing the story before we lose ourselves in laughter.

The story is very engaging, one is able to feel the fox's tooth pain, and Doctor de Soto's fear! William Steig does a great job of descriptive writing.

We absolutely delight in the Doctor and Mrs. de Sotos' ingenuity and courage. The story moves quickly and smoothly to the hilarious ending.

We recommend this book to anyone who asks us about books!
