Dead Like Me
Pros:
An interesting and somewhat light hearted look at death and life. (In that order)
Cons:
Acting is a little dry, but tolerable
The Bottom Line:
This is a wonderful series that was perhaps before it's time. It answers a lot of questions thereby entertaining and teaching at the same time. Great!

Author's Review
If you are like me, you may have never heard of this show before. However, just a couple of weeks ago, I caught a repeat of an episode and fell in love!
The main character Georgia (played by Ellen Muth) is a pessimistic young girl who is among the un dead and is here to work as a grim reaper after being killed by a toilet that fell from the sky as debris from a space station.
Her family is struggling with her death, especially her little sister who basically is trying to become Georgia.
The show is interesting because it's an after life look at life. Advice from the dead if you will. In the show, Georgia and a hand full of other reapers meet up daily for their assignments, and then venture out into the city to steal the souls of whoever is supposed to meet their demise.
The lessons that are learned along the way are fantastic lessons each of us should take to heart. I'm just sorry that I didn't know about this show sooner.
One of the many things that I like about this show is that it's not really a religious look on death, nor is it frightening, it just simplifies the process of death and dying and assures us that we're not alone.
At 29 years old, I have found death to be more and more on the OCD menu, and it freaks me out. So perhaps finding this show at this time was fate, but I have to say the writers on this show are fantastic!
The acting can be a little dry; Especially from Muth, but then again that's part of her charm as Georgia.
Since seeing this first episode, I have managed to find several others online and ended up buying the entire boxset for season 1. I'm sure season 2 is not far behind.
If you have the opportunity to see this, DO IT!
