Excellent Cable Modem, VERY happy with it, HIGHLY recommend!

I've had the modem for about five days now.

Hooking it up was a snap. It detected the cable signal nearly instantly. This, as compared to the RCA cable modem I was leasing through Comcast which would take between 10 seconds and 2 minutes to acquire a signal.

Plus, while it lists for $79.99 just about everywhere, was able to get it at Office Depot with not one, but two $20 rebates, bringing the total cost down to $39.99. (Granted, for those who aren't signed up with cable Internet service, you can probably get it for free with promotions at Best Buy/Circuit City... but, for those who already have cable Internet service such as myself, can't go wrong with the price). Amazon.com also has it listed at a pretty good price, but still not $40 after rebates.

Only problem during setup was having my Wireless router "sync" with the modem. (Modem directly to PC worked fine.) Called D-Link's 24/7 technical support (as using both D-Link router and modem); they had it up in running in short order. (Needed to have router powered up before connecting cable modem.)

As for the TurboDOX, I cannot comment on what exactly it is and whether it works or not. While I don't believe I'm getting 30x transfer rates (as advertised on the box), it does seem to load web-pages a great deal faster than previous cable modem did.

Don't know what the other reviewer was complaining about, perhaps his was simply defective. Anyhow, I highly recommend!
