The Cuisinart Pro--If You're Serious About Food

The Cuisinart Pro Custom food processor is for those people who are serious about quick and easy food preparation. Your "level of seriousness" is tested immediately when you look at the price tag. At $199, the unit is certainly not cheap but I think it's the best product of its kind on the market.

This food processor does it all. It shreds, grates, makes dough, chops, slices, dices and much more. There is no problem with dull blades. These blades are still as razor-sharp as they were when I purchased the processor. The 11-cup capacity bowl is easy to clean and comes with a flat lid for those times when neither of the feed tubes is needed. There are two feed tubes, one for large items like whole fruits and vegetables and a small tube for other ingredients. The processing time is phenomenal. Just put something in and, seconds later, it is processed. There is also a pulse option so that you can process foods to the degree desired. No more knicked fingers from dicing and chopping! Parts are easy to clean by just rinsing or throwing in the dishwasher.

I bought my Pro Custom almost three years ago and have had no problems either with the operation of the processor or with parts. There was a five-year warranty that came with the processor but I am sure that even after that time is up, this machine will still be going strong. The unit came with an instructional video that goes over all the different ways the machine can be used and tips for cleaning, etc. There was also a free recipe booklet included.

I highly recommend this processor for its durability and features. The cost may seem a little steep but for a machine that will not need to be replaced for a long time, it is a bargain.
