Head & shoulders above its Krups counterpart!

I originally bought the Krups Aromatime grind & brew. My dad bought the Cuisinart Grind & Brew. This time I wish I had followed in my father's footsteps!

What a great coffeemaker this is! Here's why:

* It doesn't create steam while it's brewing! No more wet cabinets. They actually took the time to design a way to trap the steam within the unit. In my opinion this is ingenious.
* It allows you to customize the coarseness of the ground
* You can customize the automatic shutoff time - 0 minutes to 4 hours. (I set mine to 1 hour 15 minutes.)
* It allows you to set the warmer temperature higher or lower.
* You can choose to grind beans or brew grounds.
* It beeps when it's done brewing & when the warmer shuts off. (why didn't I think of that?)
* Coffee always comes out as I expect.

Some bad points:

* Like everyone else says, it does take some time to clean & dry each time.
* I wish it brewed 12 cups at a time.
* A little bigger than I'd like my coffeemaker to be, but it's a trade off I can live with.

I tortured myself by using the Krups grinding maker for 6 months before I finally gave up on it. If I only knew what I was missing, I would have given up on it a lot sooner in favor of the Cuisinart. I really feel like Cuisinart took their time & researched what people wanted in their product. And the result was a bullseye. Coming from a cynic like me, that's saying a lot.
