Country Weekly Magazine

I have just recently begun reading this magazine regularly, and am very impressed with it. It is always very informative, entertaining, and also what I would call very unbiased. Meaning, I feel it gives equal and fair attention to all country stars and their activities and offers justified and meaningful information to all. I enjoy the fact that I do not see the same people plastered onto the cover week after week, and that they take time to pay attention not only to the new stars but the old ones as well. I like the fact that I can read the latest on Garth Brooks but still find a little information about someone, say, like Dolly Parton.

But the main focus of my review centers around the magazine's website- www.countryweekly.com. I am not someone who normally goes to a website day after day, but in this case I do. I love the Country Weekly website! It is informative, fun, easy to use, and offers several features. My favorite is the "country boards" feature, where registered members can go in, find a particular subject, and post their own opinions on it. Registration is easy and totally free, and you can go in and talk about almost any subject related to country that you want, and see what others have to say about it. You can post replies to what other users have written, and sound off about something whether you like it or not! Naturally you are expected to be civil and mature, and not use foul language or insults, but the fact remains that you don't have to go on there and ingore the issues you feel strongly about. I love it- I have finally found a place where I can truly sound off about some of the music trends I don't like, and find others who agree with me.

Above all that, if you forget to pick up this week's issue in the store, you can always find most of the major information on the site. You can look up the feature stories, articles, and other information just with the appropriate click of a button. It's great.

This is a great magazine, and a great site.
