SIR-CL3 is Very Good!

I purchased the SIR-CL3 for my Clarion DXZ765MP headunit. I prefer Sirius to XM and the SIR-CL3 does not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised when the face of the HU showed alot of detail for the Sirius channel and song currently playing.

Installation was a breeze and the CNET feature of the Clarion HU allows you to add even more peripherals in addition to the SIR-CL3 if you want. Peripherals such as a CD changer. This is possible by another CNET pass-through port on the SIR-CL3 unit.

After I contacted Sirius customer service, the Clarion HU took only about two minutes to update itself with the Sirius receiver and I was enjoying Sirius radio.

Sound quality is very good. Prior to the SIR-CL3 I was using my plug-and-play Sirius Starmate through mu aux port and it did not sound as clear as the SIR-CL3 connected through the CNET port.

I love Clarion HU's and I love Sirius (over XM) too. They integrate very well together. this is my third Clarion HU and I have no complaints. The CD never skips on me. Before I went over to Clarion I had a Kenwood HU and it skipped on big bumps, but my Clarions do not.

As with all satelite receivers (in my experience) signal strength is not always three bars, but nothing you can do about that. I really wish Sirius would fix that though. If they could create an uninterrupted/unobstructed satelite signal that would be the greatest.
