Beware, unreliable and they slug you for labor

I bought one of these from AceKaraoke, it had lots of features, the price was pretty good, but I was worried about reliability and specifically asked what the warranty period was. They said 1 year parts and labor.

Setup was pretty easy and the unit plays well. The echo, mic volume control and pitch controls are all in the unit and they work well. We really enjoyed the unit,.... while it worked, and then it all went horribly wrong.

It broke down after 3 months and I sent it off under warranty. 6 weeks later I get a call saying it is fixed, but I need to pay 40 dollars Labor! I then rang AceKaraoke who again told me that the warranty was for 1 year parts and labor, but they say CAVS are misrepresenting their warranty, but it was ACEKaraoke who told me it was 1 year parts and labor, not the manufacturer.

I'm still trying to sort this out and have been without the unit for 2 months now. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone now as any product that dies at around 100 days and won't be fixed under warranty doesn't deserve anyone's business.
