Pros: Stylish, lightweight, compact, ears-free, CD/AM/FM boom box with relatively great sound for $19.99
Cons: Flimsy plastic parts. Sometimes bass deficient. AM/FM reception only "so-so." Occasionally "tinny" instrumental tracks.
The Bottom Line: Great little unit for the money. If it suits the purpose, buy it!

Out Loud Playback: Better Than Expected I was surprised when I heard the quality of sound that came with the first playing of a CD* in my new Coby CX-CD241. This was the smallest, portable CD player I could... |

Review: Just purchased from Big Lots last week and I must say, so far so good. I didn't check Epinion prior to buying it and maybe that's a good thing. I am, however, a little leery after reading the other reviews on the item, but as I said, so far so good...

Pros: small and inexpensive
Cons: humming noise buttons don't function exchange of faulty product at consumer's expense
The Bottom Line: Don't buy, doesn't work after a short time and a replacement will cost you at least $12.

Review: I bought this inexpensive and small stereo because my daughter doesn't need anything fancy with many functions and a great sound. I expected the Coby player to work just fine and wasn't too surprised when the first thing I heard after plugging it in...

Pros: Inexpensive, portable.
Cons: CD player has fuzzy sound; tinny sound all around. CD player skips.

Review: I bought one of these at Big Lots, and it malfunctioned almost immediately. The CD player was especially inept: it skipped frequently, and when it didn't skip it had a fuzzy, static sound, not even acceptable on a cheap device.
