Impressive

We recently had a serious accident and had to replace our Evenflo Triumph 5 convertible carseat. Babies R' Us did not carry the Triumph any longer, so we chose the other highly rated seat with side impact protection, the Britax Boulevard, since we needed the seat immediately.

The Boulevard is the most easy to use convertible seat I have ever seen! For those that do not have the LATCH system, this seat has integrated lock offs to hold the lap belt which means no more of those difficult to use metal seat clips. For those that do use LATCH, as we do, the clips (one on each side and which look quite a bit like a stapler) slip right onto the anchor and click when it latches. You then are able to pull the belt on both sides tight. To remove, you simply press the button on the top of the clip and pull. The tether strap is put on in the conventional manner.

Another great feature is the sliding harness height positioner. As your baby grows, the belt height is easily adjusted with a turn of the knob which is a strong contrast to the Triumph, where you had to remove all the screws in the back to get the cover off and change the shoulder height of the belt. The belts are also easily tightened and loosened with a pull of the strap. Lastly, another innovative feature is a sensor built into the seat that will break in the event of impact that might compromise the seat. This sensor makes it easy to tell if you are in doubt about whether the seat needs to be replaced.

The features on this seat are impressive and make it supremely easy to get a perfect fit and install - every time. If you have the money to spend, it is well worth it.
