Nice Shaver!

I have traditionally used rotary razors in the past and decided to give the Braun Activator a try. I purchased my razor at Costco for $139.00. The price was a bargain considering the razor came with an extra foil and razor block. I like the fact that the razor came out of the package fully charged and ready to go.

My previous razor, a Norelco Cool Skin, was a huge disappointment for me. I know that everyone has different skin types and hair growth, but the Cool Skin just didn't perform for me on any level.

The Braun Activator is a sturdy razor that feels solid. The unique foil with different shaped holes to capture hair growth in any direction works well. They claim you only have to make one pass to get a close shave. I wish that were true. I have never used an electric razor that only requires one pass to get a close shave. However, this razor does a really good job.

The charging base and cleaning station is a great idea, although a little cumbersome. The electronic sensor lets you know when your razor needs to be cleaned and it also determines how much cleaning is needed. It is very simple. Put your razor inside, push a button and the cleaning base will automatically clean, dry and charge your razor.
