Pros: Perform exceptionally well on airplanes, balance sound and noise cancelling quality admirably
Cons: Expensive, questionable durability (time will tell), perhaps overkill for non-travelers
The Bottom Line: With the isolation these headphones provide, they're an introvert's dream. Turn on, tune in, shut out.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Because other reviews extensively cover sound quality and technical specifications, I will omit these topics and focus on usage.
I use these headphones in a noisy office so that I can concentrate in a sometimes frustratingly loud... |

Pros: Light weight. Comfortable. Muffle ambient sound. Carry bag.
Cons: Price. Price. And, oh yeah, Price!
The Bottom Line: Excellent build quality. Reasonable ambient noise "muffling" technology. Very Comfortable. Let down by a silly over inflated price tag. The free CD doesn't swing it!
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Working in a fairly noisy office environment sometimes its not enough to throw on the cans to drown out some nearby droning colleague, their inane drivel seems to seep through your aural barrier and play havoc with your concentration (or, worse...

Pros: Work well. People will leave you alone
Cons: Warm ears and shock at the sound level when you take them off.
The Bottom Line: If you travel a lot on planes get them. You will feel much better and enjoy the music or movie a lot more.

Review: After a 12 hr flight to Asia and not being able to comfortably hear four movies, I decided to buy a pair of noise canceling headphones. I tried a cheaper brand in the Bose store on their demo setup, and figured the Bose were a little better but...

Pros: Portable Design, Build Quality, Performance
Cons: Price, Irritating Frequency
The Bottom Line: This product is a great solution for canceling noise, audio performance, and portability. However, beware the noise canceling frequency is audible and somewhat irritating.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: All in all, I m happy with my purchase. Even with the high price tag, I have very little to regret about this impulse buy. I fly regularly, once a week, and these headphones are a god send at times. Engine noises are reduced considerably. The shrill...

Pros: Sound quality, comfort, and hiss-free noise canceling. Nice carrying case.
Cons: Cost... depending on how much you REALLY value sound quality, comfort, and quiet while traveling.
The Bottom Line: For peace and quiet and quality sound reproduction these are definitely worth it. Just try them for 30 days and you will not be able to give them up!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you are someone who travels frequently, travels on long flights, or both, you understand how tiring and stressful that can be.
Up until now, I wasn't incredibly concerned with travel comfort since most of my flights are 3 1/2 hours or... |

Pros: excellent noise cancellation and sound quality; comfortable
Cons: poor durability, especially for the price

Review: I have been very pleased with the noise cancellation when traveling by plane or bus. In addition, although the headphones are not designed to cancel non-continuous noise (e.g., ambient noise from neighbours while I am in my apartment), I find that...

Pros: Great noise cancelling employed, nice case and adapters
Cons: Battery is proprietary, run out of juice and you're out of luck.
The Bottom Line: Amazing performing headphones

Review: When I first heard about the Bose noise cancelling headphones, I was quite skeptical. I thought the noise cancelling technology was a gimmick that pushed for additional revenue for electronics companies. However, after a trial of a pair at a Bose...

Review: I am planning on taking a trip to Russia. I know I am going to be on that plane for 10 to 12 hours each way. I wanted some way to enjoy the music, the trip and relax during the flight. I know these are going to help me. I work in a very loud and...

Pros: The music sounds wonderful again; our hearing is protected from long hours of loud noises.
Cons: The QC3's case takes up some space in your bag while it lightens your wallet.
The Bottom Line: Regain some peace and quiet and keep what is left of your hearing while enjoying your favorite tunes and beating the noise pollution around us.

Pros: Design, Noise Cancelling, Sound.
Cons: Price - that's it!
The Bottom Line: I would recommed these to anyone who uses headphones on a regular basis or flies a lot. The price is justified through use!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I purchased my Bose QC3 headphones in 2005 primarily for use on 4+ hour flights. I had been using a pair of Phillips noise cancelling headphones until my dog ate them. I'm glad she did because the quality of the Bose is far superior.
