Makes Breastfeeding So Much Easier!

I registered for the Boppy Bare Naked Pillow on a whim. I fully intended to breastfeed my baby and the pillow looked interesting. I had no idea what a lifesaver it would turn out to be!

The Boppy pillow curves around your waist, giving you a shelf upon which to lay your baby, putting the baby's head at convenient breast level.

My Boppy came with a slipcover included, but you can buy just the pillow. They sell many different types of slipcovers in all styles so it is easy to get the pillow you want. I personally suggest owning at least two slipcovers so that you always have a clean one available when one needs to be washed...and since babies are notorious for spit-up, you will need to wash them!

I had a difficult time breastfeeding my son at first. I was sore from my c-section surgery, Ian wanted to sleep all the time instead of nurse, I had painful blistered nipples and I had a horrible time with back spasms from the new things I was requesting of my body. I was smart enough to call our local La Leche League, and one of the first things the lady who came to help me did was show me the proper way to use the Boppy. It made a HUGE difference in how easily I was able to feed my son! I used it constantly for the first 9 months of my son's life. I credit it with making the difference between success and failure with our breastfeeding relationship.
