One of the greatest books ever
Date of Review: Oct 24, 2000
Winnie-the-Pooh
A.A. Milne
October 14 it was 74 years since Winnie-the-Pooh got published for the first time.
Nobody knows how many people that have read to books about this bear with a small brain.
Winnie-the-Pooh (after this called Pooh) lives in the Forest. His best friend is Christopher Robin a boy who owns the stuffed animals the story is about ? or if they own him ?
The other animals are Eeyore ? a sad donkey, Piglet (a pig), Rabbit and Owl.
Later on in this book Kanga and Baby Roo (kangaroos) come to the Forest.
This is the first book about Pooh and it contains the introduction of Pooh, tells us how much Pooh loves honey and how hard it is to get it from the bees.
It also tells us about when Eeyore lost his tail, when Piglet meets a Heffalump and much more.
The great thing with the books about Pooh is that everyone can enjoy them ? it doesn?t matter if your young or old ? you can always find the book interesting and fun.
It seems like A.A. Milne had a deeper meaning with every sentence he wrote. I do not know for sure, but it feels like he had.
Since the book I have got is the original it has wonderful illustrations made by E.H. Shepard and I love them as much as I love the writing ? even more some days.
I highly recommend it to everyone! It is a ?I must have it? thing
