Condoning jailbreak?

Date of Review: Dec 28, 1999

Alexander Dumas' _The Count of Monte Cristo_ is engaging, riveting adventure literature. This book captures all aspects of fascinating literature: action, character development, romance, friendship. Although the writing style is a bit long-winded at times, the story is so captivating that it is difficult to put the book down. _The Count of Monte Cristo_ will appeal to older children, young adults, and adults. There is a little bit of everything for everybody. This book has so many plot twists that the reader may get dizzy. Dumas' style of writing is captivating and intelligent. Being written by a French author, some names may be difficult to understand or remember, but the serious reader should be able to keep them straight.
