Wonderful book for young and old alike.

This is a magical series of books that takes you on an adventure to a land far away and right in the same room all at the same time. I loved reading these books as a child and love them just as much reading them with my children now. If like talking lions, Elves and Evil witches you are in for a wild ride. As a child it left me searching the back of my closet for a magical passage. It is like a grown up version of the Wizard of Oz. The characters are even more lovable and detestable than in Oz.

As a Teacher I love any book that can get a child's attention and keep it through a whole series. If you have a child who has loved Harry Potter they will love this book almost as much. Because this is an older series there are many supplemental curriculum available for classroom or homeschool use.

I have heard this product referred to as a "Christian" book but that is only because it refers to the children as "Sons of Adam and daughters of Eve" I know of many other Non Christian faiths that believe in the Adam and Eve tradition so I would not say it is only for Christian kids.
