Brother Odd

I bought this book prior to reading the first one "Odd Thomas". I had been warned about how good this series is and I did not wish to start the series until I had all that was available. Boy am I glad I did it that way. In the first book you end up in a trance almost with how good it is and there is no full release from that trance until you finish all three books. Even then you can not help but wonder what is next for Odd Thomas. In this book he goes to live with monks in a Monastery. One would think that even Odd Thomas would be able to find peace from his strange world in a Monastery but even in a peaceful Monastery full of monks Odd Thomas is not able to escape the odd things that happen to him. He still see the spirits of the departed and bodachs. Lucky for him he has his silent buddy Elvis to cheer him up and Boo the Abby's dog. This book takes place during the winter at St. Bartholomew's Abbey which is surrounded by the vastness of the Sierra Nevada, on the California side of the border. Its more then supernatural, suspense its humorous too. This book not only entertains but it makes you think.
