Better than the old dust buster

I reviewed this item before asking for it as a gift. It seemed to be the strongest handheld out there. It was at first hard to find over the holidays, but I see now that it is showing up more.

We have a LOT of things to vacuum in our home. One of them is birdseed from our cockatiels. We also have cats and dogs and children, so we are cleaning up things on a daily basis.

I wanted something to spot clean things in the kitchen, like crumbs without having to pull out a large vacuum.

I like that it is rechargeable and cordless. It is also pretty strong.

The set up is to mount the charger on the wall and leave it on there to charge up. You must have the nozzle in the down position in order for it to mount correctly on the wall. This should only be done after you have given it time to completely suck up what you have vacuumed, or the some of the contents will spill out when you replace it in the re-charger.

I like the versatility of the adjustable nozzle. I hope it holds out and doesn't break from being rotated too often.

Overall, a better piece of equipment than the old dustbuster, but a few drawbacks like weight and that pesky leakage when mounting sometimes. The thing that leaks most out of ours is birdseed. I just have to remember to totally let it vacuum into the container before I put the nozzle down.

Also, I have another small appliance made by Black and Decker which has malfunctioned after three months and I can't get the company to respond to my emails. I certainly hope this little vac holds up because I don't have much confidence in the company to stand behind their product.
