I'll have TWO bagels lightly toasted please!
Pros:
Able to make 4 slices of toast at two different settings
Cons:
Numbers for the timer setting rub off over time
The Bottom Line:
A good basic toaster for a smaller household.

Author's Review
We've always had standard two-slice toasters, but when we moved, we decided to "upgrade" to a four slice toaster. It actually turned out to be only a small price difference between the two and four slice toasters we looked at, so it ended up just making more sense to get the bigger toaster! There isn't much to cover regarding this toaster, so I won't break this review down very much.
When it comes to toasting, you can set each pair of openings to different times. This is helpful if you want to do something like make bagels (longer time in the toaster) and toast (less time in the toaster) at the same time. The dial for the timer goes from 1 to 5, and we've found toast comes out golden at around 2-3 while thicker things like bagels tend to go to 3-4. I don't think we there is anything that we make on a regular basis that needs the 5 setting; I've accidentally used it with bagels and found them completely burned before they popped.
The only thing I don't like so much about this toaster is that the numbers for the timer are painted on to the body of the toaster beneath the dial and after a year or so have pretty much rubbed off. So you basically have to eyeball the settings when you are using the toaster. It is just a toaster though, so unless you really make a mistake on the timer setting, it is still hard to go wrong.
Overall, I think we made a good purchase. I do wish the numbers had been placed on the toaster in a little more durable of a manner, but with regular use you get used to not paying much attention to the numbers and just looking at how the dial is turned. Of course, your guests may find their toast regularly burned:-)
