Best Financial Publication Around

As you can tell by my title, I think Barron's is a terrific publication.

If you need a quick recap of the week's events, the Market Week section is where to turn.

The articles on companies, economics and current events are very good as well, often featuring out of favor stocks.

The real value to me, is in the sections that covered things I knew nothing about. I started my financial education by reading the magazine cover to cover. Even the sections that I had no interest in. It gave me a well rounded knowledge of the financial world and how it all relates to each other.

If you're purely a stock market person, read the real estate section, or options or commodities.

I guarantee if you read this magazine cover to cover for a year you'll be the most well spoken person on financial topics nearly anywhere you go.

Now all this doesn't mean their stock predictions and forecasts are right. I never use it to solely base my decisions on, but it gives me a starting point and often points me in a new direction.

The columnists all write well and a few of them have a terrific sense of humor.
