Went beyond the basic for me!

I was previously a huge MAC fan, but now I'm more of a Bare Minerals fan!

After being impressed with the foundation starter kit, I decided that my complexion was too dull, I needed colour back in my face!

So I decided to try the BEYOND THE BASICS kit.

The price of this Kit was $49 plus taxes and shipping to Canada. It comes with:

2 brushes: MAXIMUM COVERAGE CONCEALER BRUSH ($20 value)
SOFT FOCUS FACE BRUSH ($30 value)

BISQUE MULTI-TASKING FOR FACE, .02oz./.57g - This is a better concealer than the bare minerals foundation alone. I do add more than a little, I can clearly see it as I put it on, it will look like too much. I put this on my dark circles and other blemishes, like my scar from my eyebrow ring and the acne scars on my nose, before I apply my foundation. Then I apply my foundation with the HANDY BUKI BRUSH(from the starter kit) it buffs out the BISQUE and makes it blend and doesn't look as heavy, but still covers. I do note though, that I am happier with MAC concealer, but have been using this because it's just easier to apply, and my under eye circles are not that bad. SO I would suggest MAC if you have really dark blemishes.

SUMMER BISQUE, SPF 20, MULTI-TASKING FOR FACE: I personally cannot see much of a difference between this and BISQUE, but it's supposed to be for med to golden skin tones, see above on how to use. It comes down to preference for which to use. On another note, this is really nice to use on the whole eyelid to make an even canvas for your eye colour. Because of the SPF, I would lean toward using this during the sunnier months

SOFT FOCUS GLEE ALL OVER FACE COLOUR, .02oz./.57g - Now I love this. This is a "Complexion Booster", it adds just a bit of pink to your cheeks, but not heavily like blush does. I brush it onto the high points of my face, and it makes me look happier and not so bland. *I find that just the foundation takes away your natural colour, the pinkness* I have never gone wrong with this, if it's not deep enough for you I would try GLEE (this does not come in the package)

BARE RADIANCE ALL-0VER FACE COLOUR .02oz./.57g - It is supposed to make you look dewy. I don't use this, I find that it just looks shimmery, and that's just not my personal style. To each their own though.

FAUX TAN ALL-OVER FACE COLOUR .02oz/.57g - This is a lot deeper than the WARMTH that comes in the starter kit. Use it lightly, almost less than you would WARMTH. Apply only on areas that would naturally tan more, your forehead/cheeks/temple/nose and chin. If you use too much it will look like a mask. I personally don't use this because I have naturally tan skin and find I don't need it.

This kit is worth more than $49 (plus tax and shipping)

I use the BISQUE/SUMMER BISQUE, SOFT FOCUS, and BRUSHES everyday (with my FOUNDATION STARTER KIT), and it takes literally 6-10 minutes in the morning. And when I get home at night I still look flawless, well as flawless as one can look anyway.

I have not broken out since starting using this product, 4 months ago, with daily use.

Again as I have mentioned in the Starter Kit post, do not join the Club it is not worth it.

After you buy the starter kits (Starter Foundation, Beyond the Basics, Get Started Eyes), which I suggest you do for the brushes they come with (huge savings, as you can see the value of the BRUSHES in this kit equal more than the kit itself) find the colours that work best for you then order the colours individually because when you order them individually they are 33% more for the face colours, and the Foundations are 5 times larger individually. BUT THE SMALL CONTAINERS HAVE ACTUALLY LASTED ME 3.5 MONTHS NOW.

As with everything else in this world, some part of the population will be allergic to the product. If you get a red face, itching, increase in blemishes stop using the product.
