Z4 vs. Z3. Easier to admire, harder to love.

The Bottom Line: The Z4 surprises with all-around performance, comfort, and refinement. But I can?t get past the styling, and some driving enjoyment has disappeared along with the Z3?s faults.
Review: One day I hope to buy a BMW Z3 2.5 as a second car. (Click on link to read my review of it.) Sure, it's far from perfect, but I like the driving position and find it great fun to drive. Among small roadsters it's my personal favorite.

Lightyears Ahead of Z3, But Perhaps A Sacrifice in the Fun Factor...

The Bottom Line: Everything the Z3 should have been and more... Though perhaps too much "more" because the fun seems to have gone away. Nevertheless, incredible engineering and refinement- a Real BMW star.

The Bottom Line: Great car, even for the high price. Absolutely impractical for anyone, but thats not the point is it?
Review: I bought my 2003 Z4 (2.5L) back in August 2003. So far I have no regrets.

Performace: Very good. It isn't the fastest thing on the road, but it sure feels and looks like it is. The powerful sound of this engine may force you to write...

The Bottom Line: Stay away! At least from the 2003! I hate this car.
Review: I've had this car for about two years now. I hate it. That's right, I hate it. If it had only cost me $20k I might just dislike it, but it didn't.

Edgy Z4 isn't your dad's middle age crisis roadster

The Bottom Line: Its controversial edgy styling catches all types of attention, but what will get your attention is how much fun it is to drive, drive, drive!
Review: Reviewers universally seem obliged to mention, and even trash, the late Z3, which the Z4 replaced. Having owned two Z3s, a 1996 1.9 and a 2000 2.8, I don't feel the need to compare the two. While the the Z4 did supersede the Z3, the two cars only...

BMW Z4 3.0L Roadster

The Bottom Line: If you like the look, it is a very capable sports car. Excellent reliability and performance, compromised only by jerky clutch and numb steering.
Review: Looking back, after 1 1/2 years of ownership, my Z4 has been a fun car but disappointing in some ways.

Great car; shame about the tires!!

The Bottom Line: Not recommended while it has these "Run-flat"tires. I enjoyed mine for just 7 months, and gave up on it after two $400 punctures! Great car otherwise.
