Quiet, well made, inexpensive

A solid and well designed fan except for the inexplicably awkward switch. Blowing at you from 3 ft the sound level at the higher speed is 40 decibels, very quiet. Most users will want to use the lower speed at that distance which was too quiet for my sound meter to measure.
The screen surrounding the blades will protect even the smallest baby fingers from getting to the blades.
A writer on another web site said there was lead in the cord. I got a lead test kit and found no lead on the cord or the screen or the blades.
