by   carolynuk ,   Jan 6, 2002

Pros:  Creative layout, concise and easy-to-read articles, fascinating stories

Cons:  needs more pages

The Bottom Line:  Yes, definitely. It is as interesting as Discover and National Geographic.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

Archaeology has always caught my interest, given the amount of time I spent watching Discovery, History and National Geographic channels. This was the first time though that I subscribed to a magazine that catered to Archaeology readers like me.

I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure if the content of this publication was worth subscribing to. I received my first copy this January and I loved it!! It was very interesting. The layout was done creatively and with concise articles, it was definitely easy reading.

The January/February issue dealt with topics like Beyond Ground Zero, which discussed the fragile state of New York Landmarks that were near ground zero. There were breathtaking pictures of New York's old buildings. There were articles on the Mayas, new archeology digs and factoids, as well as readers' comments.

Archaeology, published by the Archaeological Institute of America, is a well-made magazine and should be in every Archeology aficionados' home. The only flaw in this magazine is that it should have more pages for us to read.
