Addonics Enclosure (AE5IDECSU2) USB 2.0 Storage Cabinet

the USB hard-drive enclosure from Addonics is great. the reason i went for this device is that i can hook up either my hard-drive or an external DVD/CD drive and viola! i have an external usb driven drive. I had no problems installing my new maxtor 40 GB disk wiht this... with XP, the operating system just recognized the drive and i could just format it and give it a name and everything. One good thing is that it comes with its own fan to keep the drives cool, but the problem with the fan is that it makes noise (like any other CPU fan). the aluminum body is sturdy, tho a little heavy. but overall, i think this is much better than flimsy plastic bodies and is a great buy
