My previous video card was an Nvidia GeForce Ti 4400. It was not a bad card by any means, but I decided to take a walk on the wild side, and purchase the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO. One word describes this card: fast. It's overkill for older games, and has enough juice to play newer games with ease. You can run most games today with a good deal of visual goodies on (anti-aliasing, ansiotropic filtering, and the like). Not to mention, ATI's Catalyst driver program is continuously improving the already solid compatibility of the entire Radeon line with regular updates. I'll take a fast, stable video card any day!
