Product Description

 
The Tundra is in its second year of production and remains virtually unchanged since its introduction. The Tundra is available in 2WD and 4WD with a Regular Cab or an Access Cab. The SR5 model adds air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and mud guards. The Limited model features power windows and locks, a 4.7L V-8 engine, front fog lights, and a deluxe 3-in-1 stereo with cassette and CD player. Optional features include four-wheel ABS brakes, daytime running lights, a premium 3-in-1 stereo with a six-disc CD changer, and the Off-Road Package. The Off-Road Package is only available on Access Cab models and includes heavy-duty shock absorbers, contoured mudguards, off-road suspension, and 265/60R16 on-off road tires.

Size isn't everything, this truck is strong

The Bottom Line: If you value trouble-free performance, power, a smooth ride, and value over heavy duty capacity and 4 passenger comfort, choosing the Tundra is a no-brainer.
Review: NOTE: THIS REVIEW APPLIES TO THE 2001 model, since it is virtually identical to the 2000. Unforunately, Epinions has structured the site so people looking for information on new vehicles are guided to reviews written by people who haven't owned them...

The Toyota Tundra--Prepare for an Adventure

The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a new truck, at least give the Toyota Tundra a test drive. It is a great truck despite the cost.
